Power and fuel economy put two Ford engines on Ward's '10 Best' list
Ford committed to class-leading fuel economy with uncompromised power, and then it delivered – and Ward's Automotive Group recognizes that. The Taurus SHO with EcoBoost™ and the Fusion Hybrid with a 2.5-liter I-4 engine have been named to Ward's "10 Best Engines" list. While the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 won in its first year of eligibility, this is the second consecutive win for a hybrid engine for Ford. more...

Fiesta hand-raisers get their wish
Thanks to Ford's new reservations program, the 2011 Fiesta, slated to go on sale in summer 2010, is already out the gate. Since launching less than a week ago, Fiesta Reservations has 1,000-plus reservations in hand for the highly anticipated new Fiesta. Interested consumers can visit www.fordvehicles.com/2011fiesta or text "reserve" to 4Ford on a smartphone to build, price and reserve their Fiesta. J.D. Power puts Ford voice-activated navigation in first place
Customers who use factory-installed navigation systems in the 2009 Lincoln MKS are highly satisfied. But don't take our word for it – check out the results of J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Navigation Usage and Satisfaction Study. Ford's Clarion-supplied systems rated highest in customer satisfaction and got high marks for ease of use. The system in the Ford Flex ranks second. The newly released study is based on responses from nearly 17,000 consumers who purchased or leased 2009 model year vehicles with factory-installed navigation. more...

Ford turns up the heat with factory-installed remote systems
Ford customers have nothing to fear from Old Man Winter – that's because the company is increasing its winter-weather options with factory-installed remote start systems and heated steering wheels. Ford has offered a popular dealer-installed kit since the late 1990s; the factory-installed kit will debut next spring on the 2011 Super Duty, while the new 2011 Lincoln MKX will offer a heated steering wheel. Lincoln customers indicated the wheel was something they'd be interested in, and a recent technology study showed 90 percent of customers prefer remote start systems be factory-installed. more...

Ford rings in sponsorship of U.S. IRONMAN at New York Stock Exchange
When The Closing Bell rings at the New York Stock Exchange Thursday, it will symbolize more than just the start of trading on the floor. John Felice, general manager of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury marketing, will press the buzzer to mark the renewal of Ford's title sponsorship of the U.S. IRONMAN series – the world's most challenging endurance event for triathletes. New transmission for 2011 Super Duty goes to work in Texas
Ford's 2011 Super Duty has a tough new transmission to meet the supersized demands of customers. The new 6R140 heavy-duty TorqShift® six-speed automatic manages the significantly improved torque and horsepower of the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V-8 turbo-diesel engine. The new transmission's wider gear span, advanced controls that optimize the shift schedule, reduced parasitic friction losses and lower-rpm torque converter lock-up all contribute to improved fuel economy. more...

Two commercial customers from the Lone Star State have taken delivery of pre-production models of the 2011 Ford Super Duty and will put it through "Texas Tough" severe-duty applications over the next six months. Performance data will then be fed back to Ford engineers for further analysis before the truck goes on sale next spring. more...

Warriors in Pink heads for the Hills
Ford Warriors in Pink and The CW Network's 90210 have teamed up to drive breast cancer awareness by reminding viewers that the disease affects people in all zip codes. The collaboration consists of several initiatives, including a special episode of the popular show that aired Dec. 8, a broadcast PSA and a series of national print ads all designed to engage younger audiences in the fight against breast cancer. more...
